Aline Mary (Cartmill) VanMeter

BECKLEY - Aline Mary Cartmill VanMeter of Beckley died Feb. 11, 1998, in an Oak Hill hospital after a long illness.

She was a former elementary school teacher, a member and Sunday school teacher at First United Methodist Church, Beckley, a member of Order of the Eastern Star and was in charge of the Woodrow Wilson High School cafeteria for 18 years.

Surviving: husband, Jerome R. VanMeter; several nieces and nephews.

Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gregory Hayes officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Monday in Suncrest Cemetery, Point Pleasant. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the church. Melton Mortuary, Beckley, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to First United Methodist Church.
