Frank Allen Van Metre, 44, went to be with our Lord on Friday, May 3, 2002.

He was the beloved son of Milton E. Van Metre and Joyce Munson Berkebile. Frank was a carpenter all his life and he loved to play darts.  He was member of the dart league here in Corpus Christi.  Frank had many relatives and friends and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his mother Joyce Berkebile, step-father Robert Berkebile; father Milton E. Van Meter and step-mother Virginia Van Metre all of Corpus Christi, Texas; his fiancé Lynne Arnold of Ingleside, Texas; two brothers John Van Metre and Glenn Van Metre both of Corpus Christi, Texas; and one sister Joan (Marty) Kantosky of Round Rock, Texas.  Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 5, 2002 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.  

Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 6, 2002 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. 

Entombment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
