Gladys Joan VanMeter

Gladys Joan VanMeter, 85, a homemaker, died Tuesday, January 16, 2001 at a local hospital.

She was a professional nightclub singer for many years and active in Vaudeville groups in the Bay Area, Democratic Party in the Haywood and also with the San Francisco Zoo. She sang and entertained troops during World War II and various military installations, she also worked with USO.

Survivors: Daughters, Jean Wood and Laura Guderjohn; son, Larry McGeorge; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Paul Deckert. Guardian Funeral Home 5704 James Ave., (817) 293-8477
