GLENN VAN METER

June 6, 1918 -- March 2, 2002

Glenn "Popsie" Van Meter, 83, of Tracy died Saturday at Tracy Convalescent Hospital.

Mr. Van Meter was a native of Danville, Ill. He lived in Tracy 20 years. He was a self-employed public relations specialist and fund-raiser. He belonged to Tracy Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Inez Van Meter of Tracy; children,Karan Sjolin of Antioch and Viki Aaby of Tracy; and four grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Tracy Seventh-day Adventist Church. Private burial. Fry Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
