MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Gloria J. VanMetre, 51, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Dec.
24, 2004, at her home.
Born Sept. 2, 1953, in Howard County, Md., she was the daughter of the late
Melvin V. and Dorothy Walton Haines.
She was a representative of Mary Kay Cosmetics.
She was a member of Women of the Moose.
She is survived by her husband, Glenville T. VanMetre Jr.; two daughters,
Sabrina J. Butts of Martinsburg and April A. VanMetre, at home; two
stepdaughters, Toni VanMetre and Cheryl Stroop, both of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; one
sister, Jenny Haines of Martinsburg; one brother, Calvin Haines of Martinsburg;
four half sisters, Brenda Barnett of Inwood, W.Va., Pat Brabham of Woodbine,
Md., Peggy Voss of Kilmamock, Va., and Shirley Singleton of Clinton, Md.; one
half brother, Edison Haines of Woodbine; two grandchildren; three
stepgrandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one half brother, Gene Haines.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev.
Todd Marple will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
