Jacob Van Meter Jacob Van Meter died today at his late residence at Cresaptown, aged 37 years. He was taken ill 3 months ago with pneumonia and had rallied from the attack when an abscess appeared on his liver from which he died. He was a successful merchant in the Cresaptown area after coming from WV, about 22 years ago. He was married to Miss Anna M Hutson and leaves 3 boys and a girl to mourn his loss and also: 3 brothers; Isaac VanMeter of Cresaptown; George and John VanMeter of Petersburg and 2 sisters; Mrs. R N Dawson of McKeesport PA; and Mrs. William H Cisel of Cresaptown. The funeral is from the M E Church at Cresaptown with burial in the cemetery connected with the church, Rev J M Gillum, officiating.
