Louise Martin Van Meter

Louise Martin Van Meter, a member of a well-known Lexington family, died yesterday at Lexington Country Place. She was 69 and a resident of 262 South Ashland Avenue.

Mrs. Van Meter, the wife of Dr. Jesse O. Van Meter Jr., had been active in the Junior League of Lexington and the Fayette County Medical Society Auxiliary.

She was born in Charleston, W.Va., and attended Ohio State University.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Frances V. McIntyre of Lexington; two sons, D. Martin Van Meter of Georgetown and Dr. William Scott Van Meter of Lexington; a stepbrother; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home.

Contributions are suggested to Cardinal Hill Hospital.
