Myrtle Roseland Van Meter

Myrtle Roseland Van Meter, 83, passed away at home in Myrtle Creek, Oregon on Friday, April 16.

She was born on Jan. 3, 1927 in Turlock and taught for Stanislaus Union in Modesto until her retirement. She had been a previous resident of Modesto.

She was a member of the Scottish Society in Oregon, and enjoyed traveling, gardening, her family and her little dog Lady.

Survivors include her daughters Cathy (Ernest) Rose and Susan Wood, both of Myrtle Creek Oregon; her daughter-in-law Joyce Van Meter Bonnet of Oakdale; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her children, Robert Van Meter and Linda Van Meter King, her parents George and Grace Milldrum, and her sister Violet McDonald.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 22 at 10 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon.
