Nayphus Russell Van Meter

Nayphus Russell Van Meter, 86, of Brownsville died Oct. 24, 2005, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

The Grayson County native was a daughter of the late Ervin Russell and Linnie Van Meter Russell and the wife of the late Jackson Darrell Van Meter.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Salem General Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Van Meter of Brownsville; a special daughter-in-law, Bonnie Van Meter of Brownsville; a daughter, Denise Rinehart and her husband, Roger, of Dayton, Ohio; a brother, Lloyd Russell of Hardinsburg; a special niece, Betty Carroll of Bee Spring; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
