Robert L. VanMeter

Robert L. "Bob" "Meter Man" VanMeter, 66, Odessa, MO, died Sunday, January 5, 2003, at the home. Bob was a member of the Asbestos Workers Local 27 for 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Odessa. Survivors in addition to his wife, Kathryn, are four daughters and spouses, Denise and John Triplet, Robin and Randy Petty, Beth and Don Hammond, Brenda VanMeter, all of Odessa; foster children, Jeff and Regina Campbell, Kansas City, MO, Kenya and Marc Lanciaux, Odessa; father, Lloyd G. VanMeter, Odessa; brothers, sisters and spouses, Jim and Evelyn VanMeter, Odessa, Lee and Sally VanMeter, West Hartford, CT, Donna and Granville Morgan, Independence, MO, Doris and Wes Cox, Richmond, MO, Kay and Paul Robbins, Odessa; father-in-law, George L. Brown, Odessa; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 10, at the First Baptist Church, Odessa, with Rev. Terry Hodges officiating. Burial in Odessa Cemetery, Odessa, MO. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Ralph O. Jones Chapel.
