THELMA J. VanMETER, 72, of El Dorado, retired beautician, died Wednesday. Service 2 p.m. Friday, Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado.

Survivors: daughters, Janice Marcum-Hancock of Topeka, LaDonna Moore of Great Bend; brother, William Hix of San Diego; sister, Avis Shuman of El Dorado; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with First Baptist Church and Allen Memorial Hospital, El Dorado.
