Survivors: wife, Angela; sons, Dr. Thomas A. of Snohomish, Wash., James M. of Tempe, Ariz.; stepson, Aaron Humphrey of Sandpoint, Idaho; stepdaughter, Joyce Couch of Arkansas; mother, Texie M. of Houston; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
