Vincent J. Van Meter, 89, engineer for Owens-Ill. Glass Co. and National Mine Service, World War II veteran, died Thursday. Visitation 9 to 11 a.m. Monday and memorial service 11 a.m. Monday, both at Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Godfrey. Burial at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the First United Methodist Church of Godfrey.
