Virginia Dare VanMeter

Virginia Dare VanMeter, 77, of Benton, died at 8:25 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Marshall County Hospital. Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.

Mrs. VanMeter was a retired nurse from Murray-Calloway County Hospital and a member of Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Lynn Dame of Mountain Home, Ark.; one son, Darrell VanMeter Jr. of Benton; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell VanMeter Sr.. Her parents were Benjamin Gray and Della Lanham.

Graveside services for Virginia Dare VanMeter, 77, of Benton, were Monday, April 25, 2005, at Murray Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Kevin McHarg officiated, with burial following.

Mrs. VanMeter died at 8:25 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Marshall County Hospital in Benton.

She was a registered nurse at Murray-Calloway County Hospital and a member of Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include: a daughter, Lynn VanMeter Dame of Mountain Home, Ark.; a son, Darrell VanMeter Jr. of Benton; and three grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Darrell VanMeter, Sr. Her parents were Benjamin Gray and Della Dunnigan Lanham.
